Clinical Research
Today, cancer research is no longer conducted exclusively at large university cancer centers or major metropolitan hospitals. Cancer centers like Willamette Valley Cancer Center are also making significant contributions.
Willamette Valley Cancer Center participates in US Oncology's research program, which allows our center to be part of the largest private cancer research program in the country.
Our research team screens patients to determine if they meet the criteria for enrollment in one of the clinical trials. A clinical trial is a research study that is conducted by trained health professionals with the intent to improve the care and treatment of cancer patients.
Patients can receive investigational therapies under the direction and care of their own physician here at the Willamette Valley Cancer Center. We are able to bring the most recent meaningful advances in cancer care directly to our community.
The decision to participate in a clinical trial is a personal decision and we realize it is important for you to make an informed decision. The advantages and disadvantages of participating in a clinical trial will be discussed with you and your questions will be answered prior to your enrollment.
Clinical trials are now available for the following:
• Breast Cancer
• Colon Cancer
• Leukemia
• Lung Cancer
• Ovarian Cancer
• Prostate Cancer
• Rectal Cancer
